Final project rewiew

I think i did very well on my fall project. it was very fun to see all of my classmates be patient and laugh. at first i was nervous about getting a good grade but after actually doing it i am confident in what i will get. i have improved a lot over the year so far. I have gone from being shy to a outstanding person to me fellow classmate. It was fun  working with each of them and getting to know them on a better and more personal level. I am saddened that this will be my last time working with them. It was a lot of fun and i wish i could do it all over again. But i keep my head up for i am taking this class for the next half of the year and i hope i can make new friends and work with them a swell. But for now i must focus on the present for my classmates still haven't don their projects yet and i am willing to put in my best effort so they can get a good grade. i remember when i first walked into the class, shocked to see there was only 4 of us! Then a few days in pat sadly left put we then gained Gia! she has been very nice to me and i really appreciate that! I loved working with her and hope we can continue our new friendship.Josh was also a lot of fun to work with, even though some days he was a bit negative, but once we got started he cheered up. And i wasn't able to work with Victoria a lot but when i did she was a blast, and a great camera man! I hope they also get good grades on their finals. So far i have done many projects, from being a pirate to being very upset about my chicken tetrizini, i have had a lot of fun experiences during this course! So even though this class is ending i can look back to all the good times we had! It was also fun watching as my classmates grew their acting skills and was funny to see them fail sometimes, kinda how josh did that super deep voice during my final and it made us all laugh! But no matter what happened i always looked forward toward acting class because of all the experiences that have come out of it! And i hope with these new skills, going into the next half wont be too hard and i will be able to teach my new classmates what i have learned and bond and make new friendships! If it wasn't for the constant help i got from my classmates i might not be where i am right now skill wise, they helped my project my voice to the audience and make me remember my lines. They also helped with how i should say or look. So i say thank you to my classmates for making me the actor i am today!

Progress on final project

So far it have been fun this year, I am saddened that I won't be able to work with them again this year. This class has brought me closer to my new friends hat I did not know before this class( except for josh) and I hope they do well on their projects, any let's talk about what I have been up too! So far the final project is almost done. I have a,most perfectly memorized my lines, still a little rough though but I am working to fix that. I am also almost done with the staging as well. I just need to figure out how I will interact with the others in this scene. I believe that I will be ready by Tuesday to perform. I believe this to be true because of the following. I do need to work on raising my voice and projecting it out the audience and I also need to make sure that the staging is set so I can make it clear what is going on to the audience. I also need to make it clear to the audience what emotion I am feeling and I think I got that down! But so far it has been going goood and I have been making great progress. I hope to finish this semester on a good note! I believe that this activity will bring my grade up to a b- and also show off my acting skill to my fellow classmates and hopefully the teacher as well. I also hope that I can see my friends in other classes or in free time. But no matter what happens I have had a good time in this class and I hope this continues into the 3rd and 4th semesters/ second half of year.

Progress on final

So far I have made many improvements, such as figuring out what I want to do and memorization. Other than that there hasn't been any other work done but I am working on it in class and at home like editing the script and learning the staging. So far it's been fun and I'm excited to perform the scene.

Reflection on second scene

So far the progress on the second scene has been slow, but we are getting better! At first I didn't really like the scene, not being able to relate to the characters and the setting. But the more we practiced our lines i have built a connection and I am enjoying it more. So far we are doing a good job on the scene its self. We know what we are going to do, where to walk and sit, and what times to do it. But we are having trouble remembering our lines because the ways its written and how long it is make it complicated. But a way we are going to fix this is by writing down the script in a google docs and editing the script so its easier to understand and remember. Another thing we need to work on is emotion. We arnt really expressing our self's when talking, we are just reading the script in a regular voice and arnt emphasizing the emotion. But we are able to get down the pauses. This is very different from my first scene though. In my first scene I was a pirate, the script was short and I knew how to say thing and how to act. But in this I really dont have much information on the characters, how they would react and what their personality's. Another thing thats different is that in the first scene I was the only one acting (except Victoria who just stood there pretending to be a girl pirate) but in this one I share dialogue with Victoria. Although we arnt the best at the scene right now I believe that soon we will have it down, and I am very excited to see how Josh and Gia do on their scenes.

Fall Play Reveiw

James Joyce's "The Dead" was very interesting, I think that over all it was very well done. A huge part of the story was around the quote "The world ... is like the surface of a frozen lake. We walk along, we slip; we try to keep our balance and not to fall. One day there's a crack, and so we learn that underneath us is - an unimaginable depth." and is said two or three times through out the play. The actors did very good, they remembered their lines and din't hesitate. Some other things that they did well was the time it took to transition scenes, we were asked to leave the theater so they could set up the stage and it only took five to ten minutes and I was truly shocked how quick it was and how when the actors entered they turned off the lights so they could get into position,  then jump right into it making it feel like I never left. Something they could have done better was indicating that we were in a flashback. when we were in a flash back the only way to realize this was to see the characters frozen in place and only Gabriel talking. What they could have done was have a spot light follow Gabriel or have the light turn a light blue, so the watcher can see clearly whats happening. But I think they did well with what they had and it was very entertaining to watch. I was expecting it to be a little more serious but I was glad at some moments it made me laugh. I was also impressed how they set up the audience, you could either be low and close to see the reaction and emotion of the characters up close or watch from far up to see the whole set better, I choose the eagle eye view because it helped me understand the scenes better, and I also liked how they positioned the set making it easy for the actors to move around while also making it realistic. In total, I believe the Fall play was a success.
